"Witness 360: 7/7"  follows the life of London 2005 bombing survivor Jacqui Putnam VR City

The day prior to the official opening of the Luxembourg City Film Festival, the Virtual Reality Pavilion opens at Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain. This is a first in Luxembourg.

This evening, prime minister Xavier Bettel and Film Fund head honcho Guy Daleiden will be at the official opening ceremony, which also sees keynote speakers Frédéric Josué, president of the think tank Uni-VR.org, and Myriam Achard, director of communications at the Phi Centre in Montreal address guests.

The Virtual Reality Pavilion, created by FARR along with the festival and the Casino, allows visitors to experience a selection of internationally acclaimed VR films. These include the the UNICEF 360o film "Clouds Over Sidra", which follows a day in the life of a young girl at the Zaatari Refugee Camp in Jordan; "Indefinite", billed as an immersive journey into the uncertainty and despair of the UK’s immigration detention system; and "Witness 360: 7/7", about London 2005 bombing survivor Jacqui Putnam.

The Virtual Reality Pavilion is open every day during the festival, until Sunday 13 March, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with an extension to 11 p.m. on Thursday 1 March and Thursday 8 March.
