This weekend, the 13th, 14th, and 15th of January, VAKANZ 2017, the Greater Region’s largest event devoted to tourism and holidays will open its doors in Kirchberg.
After 25 appearances, VAKANZ has become a well-known institution. Over a weekend, the fair unites all the travel experts on 14,000 m², devoted to new tourist attractions for the coming season!
VAKANZ! A question of trust
Each destination hides a range of attractions and strengths! For the emerging destinations, the attraction is in exploring, with its corollary, a provision based on discovery, differentiation, attractive prices, low visitor numbers... for booming destinations, it is in the reputation, a wider and more innovative range of tourist products, of well-known brands, of safety and belonging, for more classical destinations, it is in memories and recollection, of history and tradition... etc.
A wide and varied provision that, in a digital, open and connected world, has become considerably more complex. For some years now, VAKANZ has established a completely new hierarchy and value chain placed in the centre of which trust has pride of place. As there is nothing more complicated than choice, the visitors can rely on the fair’s specialists: the tour operators, the distributors, the tourist offices, the carriers, the hosts, …

For three days the public can discover numerous interactive animations set up on the 3 themed platforms devoted to games and family relaxation.

- Mazes, obstacle courses, trampolines ... a giant inflatable course integrated into the fair décor to have a unique experience.
- To satisfy the children’s imagination, the “Groupe Animateur” and “Caritas” will present their play and educational workshops devoted to movement.
- The downward auction game to help the most needy.
- The first Afterwork & Après-Ski Party of the year: On Friday 13 January from 5:30 to 9:00 pm complemented by a Happy Hour from 6 to 7 pm!
