The Ville de Luxembourg has sent a reminder that the car park on the rue du Fort Neipperg will close on Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. and will not re-open for around 18 months while renovation work is carried out. The city says that when work is completed the car park will be safer and more welcoming. A third walk-in entrance will be installed on the rue du Chemin de Fer to allow drivers easier access to the railway station and to walk to Bonnevoie.

The new look car park will also incorporate a brasserie on the ground floor. A space reserved for parking 40 bicycles is also being installed.

The renovated car park will include 12 spaces for drivers with reduced mobility, 13 spots reserved for female drivers and 20 spaces electric vehicle charging stations. The renovation and the installation of the brasserie will cost the Ville de Luxembourg just over 21 million euros.
