Two cases of defrauding the government’s covid-19 short-time work programme were confirmed last year. The scheme tops up the wages of employees whose hours have been partially or totally reduced. The Inspectorate of Labour and Mines (ITM) found two people continuing to work despite taking the subsidy, according to the government. The amounts defrauded have not been revealed.

A further nine complaints have been filed this year and all have been investigated.
