The number of job-seekers registered with ADEM stood at 15,956 as of 31 March, representing a decrease of 411 people, 2.5%, since March 2017. That leaves Luxembourg with an unemployment rate of 5.7%, as calculated by the national statistics office, Statec. 

The decline was mostly in job-seekers under the age of 30 (down 7.5%) and the low-skilled (down 5.9%). The number of long-term unemployed also fell by 4.5%. On the other hand, the number of job hunting graduates rose by 7.5%.

Over the course of March 2018, employers posted a total 3,839 vacant positions at ADEM, an increase of 20.3% over March 2017.
