According to Adem, the national employment agency, there were 17,283 jobseekers registered at the end of 2017, a decrease of 839 people compared to the end of 2016.
The official unemployment rate, corrected for seasonal variations, stands at 5.8%.
More unemployed with degrees
While the trend benefits mostly those under 30 years of age (-8.6%) and those of few qualifications (-7.6%), the number of unemployed people with higher education has increased by 3%.
Long-term unemployment also decreased by 7% over the past year.

More vacancies
At the end of December 2017, 2,122 job vacancies were registered with the employment agency, which represents an increase of 8.7% compared to 2016. In total, 5,260 posts were open at the end of 2017.
