The Arsenale is one of Venice's major exhibition site that, along with the Giardini, forms the nerve centre of the prestigious international art exhibition. Some 43,000 visitors have been to see the “Written by Water” exhibition by Marco Godinho at the Luxembourg pavilion since it opened on 9 May.

The Biennale closes on 24 November. Four days later Godinho, who is Luxembourgish with Portuguese roots, will host a tasting at the Casino Luxembourg contemporary art forum of Oblivion (Water) a mixture of Luxemburgish and Portuguese spirits with Korean jujube (a sort of red date) that have macerated since the first day of the exhibition.
