Each year, the bird nursery through natur & ëmwelt helps rehabilitate hundreds of birds back to the wild.
The non-profit Natur & ëmwelt (nature & environment) has launched a call for volunteers to help care for baby birds this spring.
Each year, the organisation rescuses hundreds of birds at its nursery. The organisation has called the period between May and August its “most challenging season”, given that the birds require individual feedings, several times a day, before they can be rehabilitated back to the wild.
Volunteers can arrange a shift which works best with their schedules. Other volunteer opportunities with the organisation include pedagogical activities, awareness-raising or on-site work, or opportunities in local communes.
Natur & ëmwelt, a non-profit with 11,000 members and 40 partners associations, works at the local, national and international levels to promote the safeguarding of biodiversity.
