  • Two associations have announced they want to go to court on the so-called Dieselgate affair. VW has admitted to manipulating diesel motors to show they were less environmentally damaging than they actually are. The Luxembourg Touring Association (TAL) and the Consumers’ Union (UCL) have said their actions were not coordinated.
  • Google is in the spotlight of tax administrations in Belgium. In 2016, Google declared a turnover of €32 million, with a profit of €1.9 million, on which it paid €740,404 in taxes. The Belgian authorities do not consider this sum reflects the actual revenue generated, and have launched an investigation.
  • Discussions on the transfer of the management from Findel to Lux-Airport have stalled. The representatives of the personnel of the administration for aerial navigation (AN) have accused the directorate of civil aviation (DAC) of annihilating the work that had been done so far, and threatened with a strike.
