Entertainment: Two superstars of the Swedish comedy scene will perform at the finale of International Comedy Club season. Delano has a pair of tickets to give away.
The International Comedy Club regularly features comedians from non-English speaking countries performing in English. This time around, on 14 November, the guest performers are from Sweden.
Magnus Betnér is the winner of the “Best Male Comic” prize at Sweden's Stand-up Awards in both 2005 and 2010. He has toured extensively since 2007 and has also made numerous TV appearances. Recurring topics that often become the object of satire in Betnér's shows are racism and religion in all their forms.
He is joined on the programme by comedian and radio host Fritte Fritzson, who runs the Oslipat comedy club in four Swedish cities and is heard each week on the podcast “All My Comrades”. He has performed in Finland, Denmark, Norway, UK and the US as well for troops in Afghanistan.
Two North Americans complete the line-up. Host Joe Egan, a Canadian resident in Sweden, and Jason Waddell, IT nerd by day, and experimental comic by night.
The show is at the Marionnette (formerly known as Le Coral), 15 rue de Strasbourg, Luxembourg-Gare. The venue serves food as of 6 p.m. Magnus, Fritte and Joe also perform in Swedish on Sunday 15 November at 5 p.m.
