It has been a great week for women in power. On Tuesday, 34-year-old Sanna Mirella Marin was appointed Finland’s third female prime minister. And on Monday, Nora Back became the first woman to be elected president of the Luxembourg trade union OGBL.

The Financial Action Task Force, an international anti-money laundering watchdog, will be in Luxembourg next year checking how well the country’s regulator and financial companies are following global rules.

The publishing of the Pisa results showing the performance of 15-year-olds in schools in 79 countries added further frustration to those working in education. Luxembourg performed below-average in reading, maths and science, but its results remain stable compared to previous years.
