The airport, which is served daily by Luxair from Findel Airport, was cordoned off after the discovery on Sunday of a bomb from the second world war.

Airport CEO Robert Sinclair said in a statement on Monday: “all flights in and out of London City on Monday are cancelled and an exclusion zone is in place in the immediate area.”

According to reports, the bomb was discovered in King George V Dock during pre-planned work at London City Airport and reported to the police at 5.06am on Sunday.
