Approaches and Pia Fraus exhibition

The “Pia Fraus” exhibition by Catherine Lorent and “approaches” by Nora Wagner will be displayed in two different art galleries, and will span for over a month.

The Pia Fraus exhibition by Catherine Lorent, taking place at Centre d’art Nei Liicht, resonates with the terms “Pious Fraud”, and is based on the story of Iphis and Ianthe in the 9^th Metamorphosis, a story that conceals the deception by a desperate mother to save her daughter after birth, following an over-ambitious desire by the father for a male heir.  Through art, Lorent illustrates, rewrites and plays with historically concepts, while questioning the validity of conventional modes of exhibitions.

The works by Nora Wagner, taking place at Centre d’art Dominique Lang, explores the depths of consciousness in the exhibition which is described as a “symbol for existentialism” and which also adopts sensory receptors to take participants on a journey from nothing to discovery.
