Until the end of January 2022, a special exhibit at the Rotondes portrays what the ocean actually sounds like underwater.

Artists Ganaël Dumreicher, Michelle Kleyr and Lucie Wahl have created a sonic installation that shows what the underwater soundscape actually sounds like. Far from the silent environment we imagine it to be, it is actually polluted with (and drastically altered by) sounds made by humankind, including seismic airguns, ships and sonars.

The exhibit uses original underwater recordings and promises to surprise listeners.

The opening hours follow those of the Buvette: Monday from 7:30am to 3pm; Tuesday–Wednesday from 7:30am to 11pm; Thursday–Friday from 7:30am to 1am (the next morning); and Sunday from 10am to 6pm.

Entry is free and masks are required.
