Slovenian, Swiss, Greek, Moroccan and French audiovisual artists are lined up for a great night at Rotondes on 3 December. Delano has tickets to give away.

The comes to a shuddering climax next weekend with a series of events including two nights of exquisite audiovisual performance.

The festival this year was divided over four weekends due to the constraints required by the covid restrictions. But the organisers turned that to their advantage. “This extension has given us the opportunity to develop digital-related topics,” explains event coordinator Yves Conrardy. “It also allowed us to experiment and probe public interest in different topics and formats.” Since February, Multiplica has explored the potential of digital tools beig used in artistic creation. There have been installations, like that displayed by Dries Depoorter in February, and audiovisual performances including triumphant shows by like Colin Benders and Pantha du Prince in November.

The first Audiovisual Night includes a performance of Beambreaker composed of lasers, lights, bent mirrors, and sound, by Slovenian artist and creative coder Tadej Droljc.

Bird Signals for Earthly Survival uses a variety of media, such as video, photography, soundscapes, electronic sounds and performative voice, and shows migratory flights as a metaphor for the environmental challenges and for the refugee crisis. It is the creation of Swiss producer and graphic designer Mehmet Aslan, Moroccan DJ Glitter, Greek anthropologist and filmmaker Stratis Vogiatzis, and French visual artist and performer Malo Lacroix.

Finally, Paris-based composer and multidisciplinary visual artist Amosphère will perform live.

The sees Iranian-Canadian-German artist Sahar Homami perform fanaa, inspired by 12th-century Persian-Sufi poet Attar’s book The Conference of the Birds, and a live performance from French duo Tryphème and Ulysse Lefort.
