Singer-songwriter Lata Gouveia released his third studio album with his current band, Stay the Same, on Friday 21 January. 

Written and produced shortly after Lata became a father, Stay The Same is cheerier and more upbeat than Lata’s previous albums, Radio Nights and Healed & Gone. It was recorded at Holtz studios in Luxembourg and co- produced by Charles Stoltz.

But Lata’s well-rooted love of American rock and blues is unmistakable, with influences ranging from Bruce Springsteen and JJ Cale to Tom Petty and even Billy Idol shining through. As usual, Lata has gathered his talented band of local musicians, including Jeff Herr on drums, Paul Porcelli on guitar, and Daniela Kruger on bass, to perform on the record.
