The old abattoir in Hollerich will host arts and crafts workshops for children and teenagers, skateboard lessons, graffiti ateliers during an open door weekend.

The weekend forms part of plans to revitalise the site. The site’s slaughterhouse stopped operating in 1997 and since then the buildings have housed storage halls and the City of Luxembourg’s sports department as well as a skatepark outside. 

The city in 2019 asked citizens how to use the site and the open weekend with activities for children and teenagers as well as guided tours and food and drink emerged from this consultation.

The abattoir will be open for all from 11am to 5pm on both days. For more information visit
