Suede 2018

Star man Brett Anderson brings his Suede gang to den Atelier to perform 1996 album Coming Up in its entirety on Sunday 22 May.

Suede were one of the bands at the forefront of so-called Britpop, emerging full of swagger in 1993 with self-titled debut album. That record spawned a string of hits, including So Young, Animal Nitrate and also featured the band’s first two singles, The Drowners and Metal Mickey.

Three years later, the band released its third album, Coming Up--its first without guitar player Bernard Butler. The record was a smash, reaching no.1 in the UK and again contained a bunch of hits including glam-rock love anthem Trash and Britpop classic The Beautiful Ones.

It is this album that the band will be playing in full-length at den Atelier on 22 May. They will no doubt also add on a few hits from other albums and if Anderson is at his grandstanding best it promises to be one heck of a show.
