Lucilin’s final Carré show

United Instruments of Lucilin Emile Hengen

United Instruments of Lucilin Emile Hengen

The last of United Instruments of Lucilin’s concerts at Carré features guests Irene Fas Fita, Lionel Ménard, Philippe Schwartz and Alan Williams.

Some 16 months since launching its Lucilin au Carré series, Luxembourg’s pioneering contemporary music ensemble will perform the final concert at the Hollerich venue on 10 June.

The series aimed at "creating something new by combining music with visual arts, sculpture, video, photography, dance...", as United Instruments of Lucilin’s Guy Frisch put it. Each concert features guest artists from different disciplines.

For the June show, United Instruments of Lucilin has gone all out and invited four artists to perform--pantomime, actress and founder of the NiMú theatre Irene Fas Fita, director and faithful collaborator of the ensemble Lionel Ménard, British composer and professor at the University of Salford Alan Williams, and, for the first time, the Luxembourg euphonium soloist Philippe Schwartz.

The concert programme includes works by Pauline Oliveros, Marco Pütz, Florent Carron-Darras, Klaus Huber and Alan Williams.
