Choose from guided tours, museum collections, workshops to celebrate Europe’s cultural wealth and diversity

Organised across Europe, this year’s heritage days explore the theme of “Heritage and sustainable development”.

In Luxembourg, the event is put together by the Ministry of Culture together with the Department of National Sites and Monuments. From 25 September to 4 October, you can choose from discoveries and guided tours of buildings or historic sites, as well as museum collections, workshops, conferences, concerts and many other heritage-related events.

With events taking place all over the country, there is something for everyone. Many sites that are usually closed to visitors open their doors for European heritage days.

You can explore the history of the Château of Differdange or go down memory lane with a guided tour tracing the emergence of department stores in Luxembourg.

Most events are free but some have limited slots. Find the entire programme and details
