Adam Sobel’s sobering documentary sheds light on the labour camps in Qatar that housed the migrant workers building the facilities for the 2022 World Cup.

The 2022 Fifa World Cup kicks off on Sunday 20 November in the richest country in the world, Qatar. Documentary maker Adam Sobel and his film crew gained unprecedented access to the working and living conditions endured by migrants who were attracted to Qatar to help build stadia and other facilities and infrastructure for the tournament.

The workers were among the world’s poorest people and they worked exceedingly long hours for scant salaries and lived isolated in labour camps.  To encourage loyalty, the organisers held a football tournament featuring teams representing different companies involved in the building projects.

The screening will be introduced by Sébastien Louis, specialist in the Ultras movement and scientific advisor of the exhibition "ULTRA. Football and politics in the Mediterranean" at the Medlhavetmuseet in Stockholm.

Tickets available online at and at the box office of the cinema.
