Violinist Joshua Bell at the Phil

Acclaimed American violinist Joshua Bell will be performing with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields at the Philharmonie.

Bell, who is the music director of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, will be performing a mixture of Robert Schumann and Samuel Barber.

He made his Carnegie Hall debut aged 17 in 1985. Bell has played with virtually every major orchestra in the world and continues to maintain engagements as soloist, recitalist, chamber musician and conductor. 

There is a talk in French ahead of the concert at 7.15pm about violinists in the 20th century.
