Matt Dawson, 64, has recorded his eighth album, The Cliffs of Lone, with a release party and free concert to celebrate the occasion.

Dawson has a long history on the music scene in Luxembourg and abroad, including as a member of Claudine Muno and the Lunaboots, The Shanes (Germany) and Julian Dawson Band (UK).

The Cliffs of Lone, which features 10 songs and was recorded over three days and nights, got its start when Radio 100,7’s Jamie Reinert approached Dawson and encouraged him to make another record. Reinert plays guitar on the album, while other well-known musicians, such as OPL Konzertmeister Haoxing Liang (violin), are included on the tracks. Dawson’s own daughter, Hayley, also provides additional vocals on the album.

Songs from the album will be played during a free concert at Vinyl Harvest in Esch-sur-Alzette, where albums will also be available for sale.
