Discover the sounds of Afghanistan during this concert by the Safar Ensemble, playing traditional instruments such as the rubab, tabla and dotar.

The ensemble unites musicians in exile who showcase their cultural heritage, currently under threat in their home country. With Persian, Indian and Central Asian influences, Afghan music nonetheless has developed its very own sound.

The eight musicians play traditional instruments, including the rubab, tabla, dotar, dohol, tula and gheychak.
