The Aquatic Museum--a self-described “pop/chamber music collective”--will play a show at the Flying Dutchman in celebration of the release of their new album.

The collective was founded by Claire Parsons, whose project Aishinka won first prize at the Jazz Maastricht Professional Awards in 2020, and Laurent Peckels, bassist and music app developer.

The Aquatic Museum is an album, but also an app that will “transport users to an original, imaginative, hand-drawn aquatic world and guide them through various museum chambers by both visual and musical cues” (via ). The project won a Global Project Grant from Kultur|LX in 2022.

Says Claire Parsons’s website: “A genre-breaking project, The Aquatic Museum skilfully combines the color palettes of jazz harmony, the delicacy of a chamber ensemble, and the energy of a pop band.”

The album’s official release will be celebrated with a show on Friday, 26 May at the Flying Dutchman in Beaufort. Tickets are €9. Find more information on .
