Get up on stage--or enjoy the improv efforts of others from the safety of your seat.

“Improv Jams are the perfect opportunity to get up on stage, play improv games and do scenes in a safe and encouraging environment,” say the organisers of Dig Deep improv jams.

The event is geared towards improvisers who want to take the next step from beginner to intermediate.

The language of the jam is English.

“Simply throw your name in the jam jar on the night: once your name is called you can jump on stage and get a feel for what it’s like to perform improv in front of a live audience,” say the organisers. If this sentence doesn’t terrify you, then you’re probably a good candidate for giving it a try. If it terrifies you but only a little, know that there is a warm-up session at the start and that the host (Melissa Dalton) will jump in and save you if need be. “So you know you’re in safe hands.”
