Wondering what a phonotrope or a phenakistoscope is? Discover these ingenious mechanical objects that bring images to life during the “Turn On” exhibition at the Rotondes. Bring your headphones along to complement the experience!

The “Turn On” exhibition, at the Rotondes until 11 February 2024, features record players, turntables, phenakistoscopes, phonoscopes and other unique objects that can animate images and bring stories to life.

Some of the artists whose works are on display include: Reuben Sutherland & Dan Hayhurst (UK), Etienne Duval (LU), Camilla Sparksss (CH/CA), Peacock (US), Dave Bayley (UK), Micah Lindberg & Drew Tetz (US), Mackenzie Moore (US), Marie Oaccou (FR), Guido Devadder (BE) and more.
