Duck race 2024

Thousands of rubber ducks will take part in a race to see who can speed down the Alzette the fastest. There are prizes for the speediest ducks, and all proceed go to charity.

The 23rd edition of the duck race--featuring activities for kids, a DJ and food stands--will kick off at noon at Neimënster. All proceeds will go to charities that support the wellbeing of children in need. This year, the charities include Passerell, Stärekanner, De Leederwon and Fondation Wonschstär.

Tickets to sponsor a duck cost €5 each, and prizes include a new car, electric bike, a kitchen, gift cards, wine-tastings, bottles of crémant and more.

The day will start at 12:00 with local food and drinks. There will also be bounce castles and other activities for children. Ducks will start their race down the Alzette at 15:00.
