The Guitar Festival, the first of its kind in Luxembourg, is back for a third edition.

With a focus on classical guitar, the guitar festival is a four-day event with concerts, masterclasses, lectures, exhibitions and a national competition for students.

Says the event page: “The guitar is one of the most popular instruments taught and played in music schools and conservatories all over the world. However, despite its high popularity, concerts for this instrument remain quite rare in Luxembourg.” In this context, the festival aims to foster local musicians in this scene as well as create “long-term pedagogical benefits.”

For this edition, the visiting guitarists include Vincent Dubès and Pablo Marquez, both of whom will give masterclasses.

The concerts and masterclasses are free and open to the public.

Note: The languages of the festival are French and English. Some events will be in French only.
