Networking: The Luxembourg-Poland Business Club holds a glam gala in June.
The Luxembourg-Poland Business Club hosts its first ever Summer Business Ball in June, “during which guests and sponsors will have a wonderful opportunity to meet representatives of the Polish and Luxembourgish political and economic scene in person, find business partners and promote their enterprises,” the outfit says on its website.
The official portion of the programme will be moderated by Nathalie Reuter, the RTL TV host. This includes the presentation of a “Person of the year” award “for active engagement in the promotion of business relations between Poland and Luxembourg”, according to organisers.
There will also be a speech by Jan Mela, president of the NGO Poza Horyzonty (Beyond Horizons), which supports accident victims by raising money for prosthetic devices and providing psychological and legal support.
In addition, “during the Summer Business Ball there will be an auction of a gift from the first lady of Poland, Agata Kornhauser-Duda,” says the club’s spokeswoman. “The auction will benefit the charity Poza Horyzony. The gift is offered to the LPBC by the first lady specially on the occasion of the ball.”
Poland’s ambassador to the Grand Duchy, Bartosz Jałowiecki, and Luxembourg’s ambassador to Poland, Georges Faber, are expected to attend.
Although it is the “Polish” business club, the group’s working language is English and they encourage all nationalities to participate in their activities.
The ball takes place Saturday 18 June, starting at 7pm, at the Cercle Cité on the place d’Armes in Luxembourg-Centre. Tickets are €195 per person or a €2500 for a table of 10. Book tickets online.
