- A parliamentary committee debated bill 7060 on Monday. The draft legislation would increase paternity leave from two to five days for the birth of a child.

- Google reportedly faces receiving a record anti-trust fine, of more than €1bn, from the European Commission this week. European competition authorities suspect that Google has abused its market-leading position by favouring its own services in internet search results.
- Social workers and police inspected 95 homes last year for unsanitary living conditions, down from 125 in 2015. The figures were revealed by the LSAP home affairs minister, Dan Kersch, in response to a parliamentary question.
- On 10 December, two new train stations will enter service. That is the date CFL, the national railway, said it will open Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg station, which will connect to the Kirchberg plateau via a cable car. On the southern edge of the city, Howald station will serve the developing Howald and Ban de Gasperich areas.
