Stacchiotti headed to Tokyo Olympics

Stacchiotti placed 14th in the 200m individual medley during the World Swimming Championships in South Korea, Luxembourg’s swimming federation, the FLNS, said on its Facebook page.

“The 27-year-old broke through the two-minute barrier [with a time of] 1:59:62 for the first time,” and will advance to the semi-finals in South Korea, the FLNS stated on Wednesday.

His previous best time in the category was 2:00:21 at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Stacchiotti also competed in the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
